Endor

my friend's having some issues patching the original UO(ML) to the newest version. he says it fails each time at this point

i know this has nothing to do with Endor, but maybe somebody knows how to fix this or where to download the patches?

1. the file has 21mb... maybe he has slow internet ?
2. he should try reinstall game, or try diferent source of UO:ML

2. he tried to re-install but it happens also, just in another part (dunno if always), he downloaded the UO from the downloads here. the same i did, which works fine for me.

is there another way to download the patches perhaps?

He has windows xp/vista?

AFAIK, you can't download patches manually. For me uninstalling UO have worked if there is a patching problem. Also tell your friend to make sure he deleted everything that's related UO:ML as there might be some leftover files (Folder called EA etc.).

Also he could try to download Samurai Empire and then start patching. It should patch all the way to ML.

You can try try to install UOML and copy full installed and patched UOML with endor from someone else and rewrite your files, it will work for sure.
