two things about mage's firefield

first) it doesn't give me experience when i kill a monster with it, it's annoyingly hard to get the npc to the river or behind a solid wall so that it burns itself, and then you get no exps. you can try and wait and kill it with a common spell, but you can fail at the timing, so better you also drag the monster away from the field when it's low on hps but then it usally turns its back on you and goes back to its spawn place, which means another running after it in the forests and trying to get it down.

second) if you cant set up the monster behind the river or a solid wall like this

WWWWWWW - ice wall\water

which is also nearly impossible, because the monster stays there for about 5secs and then either turns its back on you and goes home or just walks around the wall, well if you cant set it up like that, the firefield is absolutely useless, bc it only gives like 1 or 0 dmg to a monster that's being dragged through it.
so i suggest raising the damage of the field.. not that much, but at least a bit, for the mage to see that its of any use. at least in pvm, or at least in pvm below 15 level, before you finally get the water elemental (oh thank god for her).

in result you rather go for An Flam Por, fizz, AFP, AFP, fizz, fizz than trying to find an elegant way of killing the monster. i did it my way anyway, but i think the more elegant way should be supported. it's your call and i don't muchcare anymore as i have the elemental, this is just the only thing i didn't like about the mage so far so i thought i'd share. at least the xps from the field should be fixed for sure! it's my field, my reagents, my mana, my exps! *.*

u are right in one think... this dmg field is totaly useless. i dunno what is the original purpose of this spell, maybe some fireworks ? :)
anyway using it over the river or with normal wall is considered as abuse or using bug... but imho none of gm cares about low mage using it...
i can give u some advises... dont use AFP as low mage to last hit... use lightning bolt - easier to cast, faster, good dmg... use magic missile, when NPC turn back and go away from field, when u hit, NPC will get agro again and burn in field again :)
imho it is only way for mage to solo on low lvl without suport...

i dont want it back in the field because if it dies in it then it gives me no experience!! so i need to drag it away from it and kill it with lightning or afp! (: the npcs are smart when they see me rel porting they usually go away, as i said its not easy and i think it shouldnt be considered an abuse. i spend half my mana getting the npc there and then two or three walls and i'm of the mana.. the other way im just running and casting afp or lightning, with the same result. getting the npc to stay behind a wall is a rather impossible task.

i can show u few tricks, but i am in work till midnight... so if u wanna, sent me a msg via icq and we can meet after midnight(maybe i will be online about 11:40)... it is rly easy, i soloed my mage this way when i was young a new here.
but few best river exps are now imposible... some gm mapfixed it :/

Hi there (finaly I can play! hehe)

So I got my first lvl from a wanderer... ready for lvl 2 but when I go to get my lvl from the mage classmaster, he say I already chosen my profession... is it a lvl requirement I dont have or something? (got the 200g)

If yes... it would be nice to have the info! ;D (well, I searched around, the only stuff that may had anwserd me wasnt in english ;/ )

First, you must join the guild. Just say JOIN to the classmaster and literaly repeat the oath, that he says to you. Dont forget the dot at the end of the oath. After you join the guild, you are allowed to ADVANCE to the next LEVELs.
